Windows and Doors
Our Featured Projects.
638 Malvern Road
Built over 4 levels, 638 Malvern road comprises 16 boutique apartments plus one penthouse. The aluminium windows and doors on this project consisted of non thermal break frames and double glazed LowE/ clear toughened glass. While using a non thermal profile, we were still able to maintain energy requirements due to the combination of glass types and framing utilised. The apartment complex contains fixed and awning windows, sliding and casement doors and an engineered curtain wall spanning a significant portion of the Eastern wall.

377-379 Little Bourke Street, Melbourne
Located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, the Little Bourke Street project involved the removal of the old existing plate glass windows and replacing them with double glazed aluminium. The frames were powder coated for durability and aesthetics. The project also required the removal and replacement of the existing rooftop balustrade and tanking membrane and the installation of pavers to make better use of the available space. Global Reach was contracted to assist with the management of this. The establishment consists of one retail space and 4 office tenancies.
Good to know..
Almost all aluminium used in construction is recycled. Alloyed aluminium weighs about two thirds less than steel while having the ability to be just as sturdy. Short term, it will cut your power consumption and costs by as much as 60%. Long term, the benefits mean that you will more than likely never need to replace your homes windows and doors. Aluminium has a natural oxide coating which allows it to withstand elements that would weather other metals. It is corrosion resistant and will not warp, crack or split.
It is important to be aware that 90% of all heat loss or gain is attributed to the thermal performance of the glass. There are many different types. From toughened to LowE to Laminated, they all vary in thermal performance and used in conjunction with your nominated aluminium profiles, are designed to achieve set U and SHGC values.
In the right combinations, aluminium windows and doors will obviously fulfil all of the above, maintaining a comfortable living, working and playing space for everyone. It is significantly more cost effective than alternate framing options both in costing materials and energy efficiency in heating and cooling your home. Not only is it incredibly durable but economical to boot!
